IMAGES IN A DESIGN--About Images in a Design A wide variety of images are provided on the Design Essentials CD. You can use any of these images in any Design Essentials document. You can also use an image you have on your PC, or even scan an image directly into Design Essentials, if you have a scanner. After you have chosen an image, you can use crop, move, and zoom functions to edit the image and obtain the best results. Most designs contain at least one image. Most images can be replaced either by another Design Essentials image specifically recommended for that location, or by an external image of your own choice. Recommended images are displayed on the Recommended tab in the Images window (displayed when you press the Images edit button in the Design Essentials window). If you want to use an image of your own, the image format must be compatible with Design Essentials.
Compatible Image Formats
Identifying Editable Image Frames By using the mouse pointer: when the mouse pointer is moved over a design, any editable images under the pointer display a red border. By using the Show Frame Borders command: If you choose the Show Frame Borders option from the View menu, all editable text and image frames are outlined with a black border. By using the Images button: When you press the Images button, the Images window displays the range of images you can insert into an automatically-selected image frame. If you want to select a specific image frame, click on the image frame before pressing the Images button. Linked image frames: In some designs, if you change an image in one frame, images in other frames are automatically changed. These linked image frames can be identified in the same way as linked text frames. If one of the linked frames is selected, the associated frames are outlined in red. If you replace an image in one of the linked frames, the new image is automatically displayed in all of the frames linked to the selected frame. | |
